Kokiya Japanese Restaurant was established in early 1994 in Melaka, which located at 9/S2, Block A, Pangsapuri Jayamuda, Jalan Pelandok Putih, Melaka. The Chinese name of the Kokiya is “Zi Xi Wu” which has the meaning of “children love their home”. The vision of the Kokiya is creating high energy, family- friendly and value –oriented Japanese restaurants while the mission is to ensure that each customer receives prompt, professional, friendly and courteous services.
The founder of this restaurant named as Yoko Mama which is the General Manager of the Kokiya Japanese Restaurant. There are total 12 employees in Kokiya. Basically, their job scope are serving guest, collecting payment from guests, cashier and preparing food in the kitchen. Each employee has their Japanese name. According to the Yoko Mama, she told it is more gracious and will attract more Japanese visit Kokiya.
